TRIBAL MISSION FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL STAFF PROFILES
Pio and Sonia Arce
Pio and Sonia are missionaries from Manila sent to TMFI by Christ, the Living Stone Fellowship in 1994. Pio is a graphic
designer and a photojournalist and has been reaching out to indigenous peoples since 1986. He has lead the Communication
department of the mission until recently TMFI ‘promoted’ him on the Board of Directors and assigned to the World Christian
Gathering on Indigenous People (
WCGIP)
secretariat office in Davao which TMFI adopted.
Sonia is the office administrator and also part of the training staff. She teaches in Health Care.
In 2007 Pio and Sonia had a colorful Matigsalug-style 25th Anniversary Wedding Celebration!

The couple is overseeing Christ, the Living Stone Fellowship church in Davao and Simbahang Kristianong Lumad Inc.,
an indigenous peoples Christian church which they help pioneer in 1997.
Pio and Sonia are blessed with three sons; Jonah (born 1983), Joshua Immanuel (born 1985) and Samuel (born 1994).
